Bio
I started Computing at South Devon College in 2013 and I continued into my FdSc Computing at the college. After I finished my foundation degree I completed a BSc (Hons) in Computing at Plymouth University. Soon after finishing my degree I was employed at South Devon College as a technician for Computing. I did that for a few years and am now a lecturer for Computing.
Adrian Carlson-Hedges BSc (Hons), PGCE, CISSP

Bio
Adrian worked across multiple companies for over 20 years in a wide range of roles covering IT Development, IT Operations & Service Management, Project & Programme Management, Information Security and Risk Governance. Adrian retrained as a teacher and completed his PGCE in 2016, teaching first in secondary schools before moving to lecture at South Devon College. He has a strong interest in the world of cyber security and maintains his CISSP credentials. Adrian is tutor for the first year students on both the degree and the Level 3 BTEC programme.

Bio
I’m Andy, a Lecturer of Computing with an abundant skill set. I worked for a variety of business sectors, providing programming, architectural and tier support responsibilities, where I now teach learners who desire access to the computing industry, providing tools to businesses who require dynamic computing skills.

I have been teaching at South Devon College for the last four years, mainly covering Software Development, Website Development and Databases. I have a BSc (hon) and an FdSc from Plymouth. I returned to education in my 30s and attended college as an adult learner, where I passed my foundation degree and then moved on to complete my bachelor’s. I was so moved by the opportunities the college was able to provide I decided to go on and complete my PGCE to be able to provide the same opportunities that I had received.

I am working towards my MSc Computing (Information Security and Forensics). Have also delivered numerous LinkedIn Learning courses.
Conrad Saunders BSc (Hons) FHEA

Bio
Conrad has been employed at the college for over 9 years’ as a Programme Co-ordinator and over 11 years’ as a lecturer. Prior to this, Conrad spent 7 years in industry, building a knowledge base and skillset in Network Management. Conrad has led the continuous development of further education, apprenticeships, higher education and adult programmes within Computing at the college – Most recently, the approval of the FdSc Computing degree programme by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education as meeting occupational standards for the relevant sector. Conrad teaches the networking related modules on the FdSc Computing degree.
