Course Overview

The HNC Business and Management programme provides a challenging yet rewarding curriculum which addresses major concepts, values, principles and rules within the business, leadership and management environment. Staff qualified in a range of subject areas collaborate with colleagues and the business sector to represent the diverse range of issues to ensure the programme consistently meets local and national sector requirements. This collaboration ensures thorough embedding of work based learning into the programme and supports the application of theory into practice through a variety of work related elements.

This programme has been designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge base required to develop in your chosen specialism or other graduate opportunities.

An integral element of the course is working with local employers on projects and assessments, and building relevant industry experience. You will be working with businesses and community groups on live marketing projects, where you will apply the theoretical knowledge you develop during your studies.

On completion of the HNC, you can progress onto year 2 of the FdA Business and Management.

Testimonial

When I attended an Open Evening at the University Centre South Devon I was initially unsure which direction I wanted to take. When I spoke to a tutor about my goals, strengths and weaknesses, they guided me to a degree in business and management and I never looked back.
