Focusing on marine engineering, you’ll build practical skills and hands-on experience that prepare you for a rewarding career in the fast-paced marine industry. You’ll learn to communicate complex technical information, maintain mechanical systems, and test electrical equipment and circuits. Assessment includes a variety of practical tasks and compiling a portfolio of evidence.
Practical sessions take place in our fully-equipped workshop, while essential theory is taught in our specialist classrooms. Studying at our Marine Academy at Noss Marina means you’ll be based in a working boatyard, giving you real insight into the life of a marine engineer.
You will be required to have achieved Maths at Level 2
You will be required to have achieved English at Level 2
You will need to have achieved a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade 4(C) or above
You should have a genuine interest in this subject
